This piece was originally drawn for the very first exhibition of our artist Emily May. The two of clubs featured here was inspired by one of the most iconic chapters in Alice in Wonderland, in which Alice must drink the bottle labelled 'drink me' so that she can become small enough to fit through the door. Drawn in 2014 it is one of the earliest works by the artist, and the exhibition it was part of was fundamental in launching her career.
