The highly detailed drawing portrays an Adelaide inspired teacup featuring the iconic Adelaide Central Market. A row of grape vines run along the rim of the cup, and the teabag hanging to the side says “Adelaide dreaming”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this Aussie teacup greeting card has a bright colour palette, using light blue, vibrant red, purple, and green.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design.
