Regulations may be lifting (hooray!) but here at The Nonsense Maker our studio is toasty warm, and we’re not quite ready to venture out. For those of you feeling the same here are some fun at home activities to get you through the winter months!
1. Explore the NGV
Their doors may be closed but the NGV have an entire webpage dedicated fascinating art-related activities for kids and adults. We suggest spending a few hours exploring the virtual tours, videos, articles, and art classes to get that creative inspiration flowing.
2. Ceramics at home
Now you’re feeling inspired it’s time to get a little more hands on! Ceramiques are a small Melbourne ceramic studio offering home delivery clay and tool kits. These come with everything you need to get you started, including clay, tools, and tutorials.
3. Online Art Classes
If ceramics isn’t your style Class Bento are providing a whole range of different at home classes hosted by Australian makers. They have all kinds of projects you can craft along with; candles, beeswax wraps, embroidery, and even cocktails!
4. Colouring Sheets
Ok so you may have already thought of this one, but that doesn’t make it any less fun! Good old fashioned colouring sheets are hours of entertainment, and great for managing stress and anxiety.
